The picture shows a lighting design for a project on the Essex (UK) coast. The property had a steep 17 meter decline from the top drive to the foot of front door.
The brief was to light the garden to highlight all the features while illuminating the steps to ensure easy access and navigation of the six separate flights of steps.
At the bottom there was also a secluded seating area that was to be illuminates to ensure a beautiful seating and dinning area.
For this project, we worked with the landscaper in putting together an outdoor lighting plan, which was incorporated into the landscape plans.
Some of the lights we would like to highlight, which were used to great affect in the design. The small but powerful Platinum outdoor lighting range – the anodised aluminium black power spot lights (link below), to ensure the outdoor lights can be hidden with out losing the power or the lighting effect. We also used stainless steel down lights (link below) in the courtyard to illuminate the dinning area. Finally, the tree mount lights (link below) placed strategically in the trees (moonlighting) where path lights could not be placed.
