G&L Lighting’s Plug and Play garden lighting system provides all the lighting parts and connectors for ease of installation. Our team have spent good part of two years researching the best systems on the market and we have finally found a system that fit’s into our requirements of a quality plug and play system that professionals can use but is designed for ease of use by non professional’s, all at a fantastic price.
The antique bronze finish and construction is perfect for garden lighting as it blends in with the surroundings and does not deteriorate over time. The finish is also part of the thermals dissipation design and thus ensuring a long working life of the lights. This function overcomes the main issue we noted with most powder coated plug and play integral led lighting systems, that they suffered from bad thermal design, leading to shorter life expectancy.
Using solid brass construction and Cree 2700k led chips this plug and play outdoor lighting system is as versatile as it is easy to use.
- Simply plug in the 60 watt or 105watt transformer into any outdoor plug or indoor 13amp plug.
- Then on the 12v side connect the photocell timer (must be outside) this will automatically switch on the lights when it gets dark and can be adjusted to stay on till day break or for predesignated times from 4, 6 or 8 hours. If there is an existing outdoor lighting scheme our system can be incorporated into it*.
- After this you can add cable, connectors and lights in any configuration you require up to a maximum of 95% of the transformers capacity. So as an example for a 60watt transformer you could have 11x 2watt led spike spot and 8x 4 watt spike spots (total sum is 54w, below the 60w transformer capacity).
- In terms of the distance you can run the cable from the transformer, we recommend 30 meters. When installing we always recommend that once installed you test the last end of each run to ensure 12v is present at the end of the run. A voltage tester only costs between £10-£20 but will be invaluable. Especially if your a garden designer and are incorporate garden lighting into your service.* qualified electrician would need to be involved at this point.
