Welcome to this brief video introduction to the superb new, durable, stylish plug and play professional system from garden and landscape lighting.
- The video shows a small sample kit to demonstrate how easy this system is to set up without any knowledge or tools.
- Firstly, the transformer comes in either 60 watts or 105 watt sizes.
- Place the transformer next to the 13 amp socket or smart socket you intend to use to power the system.
- From the transformer simply connect to the lux timer (you can connect more then one photocell to the same transformer).
- The timer unit has a covered selector that gives you the options – on, off, dusk till dawn, dusk and on for 4hrs / 6hrs /8hrs.
- Once connected to the transformer, its ready to connect to the lights using the 3 or 5 way connector.
- When working out the amount of lights you can put on the transformer, add up the lights wattage and total load should not exceed 90% of the capacity of the driver.
- For example a 60 watt transformer can run a maximum of 15 x 4 watt spike spots but we would only suggest using 14 max to ensure transformer is not overloaded.
- To recap – the transformer is placed near the power source, then the lux timer is plugged to the transformer, then 3 or 5 way is connected to the timer.
- The cable sets that run to the lights come in 3 sizes – 2m, 5m, 10m.
- To connect them simply unscrew the connector cap, push the 2 pin cable into the receptor and screw the retaining cover up tight.
- Once the cable reaches to where you want to install the light, use one of the t-connectors. This has a spur to the light and a connector to continue the power to the next light.
- The selection of lights available on the system range from, small recessed lights, side lights, spike spots to 48w flood lights.
- The lights can either be spike mounted, wall mounted, tree mounted or even weight base mounted for use in water features.
- Once all the lights are installed, cover the sensor to test the lights operate correctly.
- The video gives a good example on how to run different cables to different areas of the garden and split the lights between several cable runs.
- This is a very high quality garden lighting plug and play system with lights that are built to last in the toughest conditions, while easy to install!
