Heat shrink tubing is lined with adhesive, when heated, it shrinks and bonds onto the cable to create a strong watertight connection. The heat shrink tubing is 12mm wide and 1.2 metre long.

Heat shrink is used in combination with butt crimps which G&L Lighting recommends as the best way of connecting extra low voltage lights.
